We are a small intimate homebased teaching and recording studio located in Paducah, Kentucky. Daniel Cook is the primary instructor and engineer.
Mr. Cook has been involved in music for over 40 years. He began his musical journey joining the band as a fifth grade student in DuQuoin, Illinois, learning the trumpet. During this time, he played in various bands including concert and jazz. In addition, he learned the keyboard and played at community events and church. This is the time he decided he wanted to go into education. He began teaching private lessons to family members and neighbors.
After high school, he earned degrees in music and education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. After graduation, Mr. Cook spent years as a band director and then furthered his education into the field of technology. In all, he has over 28 years in education.
Currently, Mr. Cook, has invested in Beyond Notes Studio as the instructor and sound engineer. In addition, he continues performing and recording music. He is the founding member of Daniel Cook & the B.N.S. Project, a member of the Jazz Patrol (20 member local jazz band), and lead guitar for the FCC Worship Band.
